From streaming data to action: CMCD v2, machine learning and agentic investigation

Streaming teams already have access to enormous volumes of player, CDN and workflow data. The challenge is no longer simply collecting more telemetry. It is finding the relevant signals, connecting viewer-side effects with delivery-side evidence and turning those findings into confident operational decisions.

Connecting client-side QoE with CDN-side QoS
EINBLIQ.IO combines high-fidelity client telemetry with CDN logs, request-level delivery information, video workflow data and other operational sources.
Our SPECTRA data layer ingests, standardises and sessionises this information, creating a unified view of the streaming delivery chain. This makes it possible to translate viewer-visible effects (such as rebuffering, quality reductions or playback failures) into concrete CDN-side evidence.
Streaming teams can determine which viewers, devices, applications, regions, ISPs or delivery components are affected. The same evidence also enables more focused collaboration with CDN and technology partners, helping them identify and address specific service issues.
CMCD v2: richer signals, available faster
Common Media Client Data version 2 was finalised by the Consumer Technology Association’s WAVE Project and published in April 2026 as CTA-5004-B. The updated specification allows structured player data to be communicated consistently to CDNs and third-party data services.
At IBC, we will showcase EINBLIQ.IO as a native CMCD v2 endpoint, including support for event mode.
Event mode allows player-side events to be delivered directly to our platform, making richer signals available faster for automated investigation, decision support and multi-CDN analysis. It also extends observability beyond conventional delivery metrics to additional context such as player error messages, application events and Dynamic Ad Insertion information.
Machine learning finds the patterns. Agents investigate them.
More telemetry alone does not solve the observability challenge. Relevant issues are often hidden within billions of otherwise normal events.
